In the first half of the current Fiscal year, MFS transactions were Tk 6 lakh 81 thousand 92 crores

Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali informed the National Parliament that in the first 6 months of the current fiscal year 2023-24 (from July 1 to December 30), Tk 6 lakh 81 thousand 92 crores were transacted through mobile financial services.

He gave this information in response to Mamunur Rashid Kiran MP's question iin the National Parliament session on Wednesday.

In a written reply to the question of Independent Member of Parliament Muhammad Saiful Islam, the Finance Minister said that from July to January of the current financial year (2023-24), 12 thousand 900.63 million (one thousand 290 crore 630 thousand) US dollars have been remitted. Of this, 2,425.58 million dollars came from the United Arab Emirates, 1,610.38 million dollars from the United Kingdom, 1,601.22 million dollars from Saudi Arabia, 1,332.63 million dollars from the United States and 900.26 million dollars from Italy.

Finance Minister said that one lakh 97 thousand eight hundred and 39 crore temporary revenue has been collected till January 24 of the current financial year (2023-24).

In response to the question of M. Abdul Latif, member of parliament of the government party, he also said that the amount of temporary stamp duty collection till December 24 of the current financial year was 1 thousand 626 crore taka.
